    Anybody know what happened to EMScan? URL is dead, twitter account deleted, don't answer phones.

    They made planar scanners:

    I did some checking around. That firm seems to have disappeared without a trace. If anyone knows if there is another company picking up the product line please let us know and we can add it to where-are-they-now.

    A guy I knew long ago used to say "chicken today, feather pillow tomorrow". Maybe we can identify this particular pillow!

    Someone replied on Twitter that the entire engineering team was bought out. I've had one of their near-field antenna scanners for several years, and last year bought the EMI scanner. They made good stuff.

    EMScan closed a couple weeks prior to IMS2018. They pulled their MicroApps presenter and withdrew their booth a week prior to IMS. Sad to loose them!

    Thanks for the confirmation. Guess I better make double backups of the instrument control software.

    @madengr

    Hi, It was me that replied to you on twitter. The company that took it over support are called YIC (terrible name). There was a link from the Emscan page briefly before they turned off the website for good.

    The link is http://yictec.co.uk/
